More than 25 Nanaimo Christian School parents and staff volunteered to spend Saturday working to clear the school's four-acre Holland Road Field for students to use. It was a gorgeous spring day for several tasks:
Collecting garbage
Pruning trees
Clearing branches
Removing invasive and poisonous species (daphne, holly, etc.)
Operating the tree chipper
Splitting and stacking firewood into cords
Dispersing wood chips
We are on track to finish the work this spring and have students learning and playing on the field soon. Thank you to all who pitched in to help! Special thanks to Tony Bishop for bringing his mini excavator. How encouraging it is to see God's planning and provision for this field to bless NCS students and families for decades to come.
