Updated: Nov 24, 2022

The team earns the top seed in the "A" Division Island Championships hosted at NCS on November 16-17.

UPDATE: Our NCS senior girls' volleyball team won the Island Championships and will advance to the Single "A" Division Provincials taking place in Prince George on Dec. 1-3, 2022.

Our NCS senior girls' volleyball team is ranked third in the province and seeded #1 heading into the Island Championships on November 16 & 17 hosted at Nanaimo Christian School.

Games will take place in the afternoons and evenings with the finals slotted for Thursday, Nov. 17 at 6:30 pm. If you aren’t able to watch in person, the tournament can be followed from this page (brackets & final scores) or via YouTube livestream.

The team won the last two tournaments they competed in this season. This included defeating AA school Kwalikum on October 29 to win gold for the second year in a row at the Duncan Christian/Cowichan Invitational Tournament. They also defeated Duncan Christian 2-1 in the finals of the North Island Championships on November 5.

Coach Pat Morley says, "The team is playing some of their best volleyball all year right now, which is very exciting to watch. Please come on out on Wed/Thu Nov 16/17 to cheer on our amazing Sr. Volleyball female student athletes as we push hard to earn a spot to head to Provincials!

"We are also very excited to be able to serve our NCS community by offering a babysitting night to give parents a free night off," says Morley. "We look forward to having fun, playing games and enjoy being with your wonderful children. Thank you in advance for supporting our Sr. Girls Volleyball Team and helping us with some of the financial costs of going to Provincials.”

Let’s go Blazers!!
