It was a fun night with worship, music bingo, a taco bar, auctions and your giving that boosted the expansion land fund to $60,100 total!
On April 21 more than 260 Nanaimo Christian School students, parents, grandparents, staff and friends came together for an evening of entertainment and fundraising at the Fun Fiesta Dinner & Auction. We celebrated our community with a live performance of worship music, a couple rounds of music bingo, silent and live auctions, a delicious taco bar and authentic Mexican desserts made and donated by an NCS family.
THANK YOU to all who gave with donations of time and energy, gathering items, buying items, making cash donations, and recruiting family and friends to join in the fun fiesta evening. The event raised $26,300 toward the first steps of development and debt reduction of the expansion land. Add to that the other $33,800 in expansion land donations this school year, and we are at $60,100 … getting close to our big goal of $75,000! You can donate here.
THANK YOU to everyone who donated and volunteered since the campaign started last November.
THANK YOU to our event sponsors:
Malo's Janitorial Service
THANK YOU to our parent volunteers who headed up the kitchen team (Natasha Munro), decorating team (Aimee Rounding), the auctions (Shannon McMullen & Sam Collins), the childcare team (Sue Olson), and volunteer coordination (Tessa Fuiava). And thank you to NCS parents BJ and Ruth Estes for starting the night with their gift of live worship music.
THANK YOU to the NCS staff who MC'd the event (Shannon Gillespie & David Hossini) and ran the audio/visual (Josh Patience). We're so grateful for your hard work and heart for our school.
What a joy to see our community coming together to support our kids and our mission of Christ-centered educational excellence. Thank you!
