School parents, grandparents and friends make generous donations to NCS during #GivingTuesday drive-thru event at the school.
Several Nanaimo Christian School parents, grandparents and friends joined the global movement on Giving Tuesday, the Tuesday after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. You gave generously to support the school's playground fundraiser and tuition assistance fund! Together we raised $12,000 on Giving Tuesday toward the playground fund, bringing our total to about $14,000 as of today. Wow! Thank you!
NCS staff and volunteers dressed up like kids at play in support of the playground fund ... handing out treats and collecting donations in the parking lot during morning drop off and afternoon pick up. Even our mascot, Benson the panther, was there. (Check out the slideshow above.)
"It was fun to give a little to the next playground, in our last year at this school. My two older boys remember building the current one with a few families on the hill where the high school currently sits ... before it moved. Soooo happy another generation will get to play in this special place." -- Kelly Klaassen, NCS parent
Thank you to everyone who gave to support what God is doing at Nanaimo Christian School. Your donations today on Giving Tuesday are making an eternal impact on this generation and beyond!
Thank you to Tim Hortons Nanaimo Brooks Landing and the Blois family for the generous donation of 400 Timbits handed out to parents at drop off and pick up. We saw lots of big smiles!
